  • How soon after taking CODRAL® will I feel an effect?

    • Most people will gain some relief from their symptoms within an hour
    • Response will vary between people and depend on many factors
    • If you have not had relief from your symptoms speak to your Doctor or Pharmacist about alternative treatments
  • Does CODRAL® have to be taken with food?

    CODRAL® can be taken with or without food.

  • When should I consult my doctor before taking CODRAL®?

    Consult your doctor before using CODRAL® products if:

    • You have high blood pressure
    • You are taking anti-depressants
    • You are pregnant or breastfeeding
    • You have heart problems
  • Is CODRAL® suitable for my family?

    • CODRAL® products should not be used for children under 12.
  • How long can an adult use CODRAL®?

    • For a few days.
    • After 7-10 days if symptoms persist then medical advice should be sought to establish the cause and to ensure that the most appropriate treatment is given.
  • Why can CODRAL® only be used in children for 48 hours without medical advice?

    • If a child is still suffering from cold and flu symptoms after 48 hours then medical advice should be sought to establish the cause and to ensure that the most appropriate treatment is given.
  • Can CODRAL® be chewed, crushed or broken?

    • CODRAL® Cold & Flu tablets should not be chewed, crushed or broken.
  • What should I do if I am taking other medications?

    • Check with your healthcare professional if you have any concerns in regards to taking other medications
  • Can I use CODRAL® with other products containing paracetamol?

    • The use of any medications containing paracetamol must be separated by 4-6 hours
    • The total dose of paracetamol must not exceed 4000mg in 24 hours.
    • Refer to a pharmacist or doctor
  • Should I be taking antibiotics?

    • Antibiotics are only useful when a bacterial infection has been isolated and identified. Since the common cold is spread by a viral infection, antibiotics are not useful and will have no effect on the severity and duration of the common cold
